Method of Manufacturing:
Stearyl Alcohol is prepared commercially via Ziegler aluminum alkyl hydrolysis or the catalytic, high-pressure hydrogenation of stearyl acid, followed by filtration and distillation.

First Aid:
Eye First Aid- First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then refer for medical attention.

Ingestion First Aid- Rinse mouth.

Fire Fighting Procedures: To fight fire use foam, carbon dioxide, dry chemical.

Spillage Disposal: Sweep spilled substance into covered containers. Carefully collect remainder. Then store and dispose of according to local regulations.

Disposal Methods: The most favorable course of action is to use an alternative chemical product with less inherent propensity for occupational exposure or environmental contamination.
